Surivival Tips for Nursing School
Below is a list of tips compiled by NSA members. Check back for updates!
- Make sure to eat a well-balanced diet high in fiber, complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables.
- Exercise regularly. This helps relieve stress. Try to get at least 30 minutes, 5 times per week.
- Try to get adequate sleep.

- Form friendships with other nursing students.
- Plan regular weekly study groups.
- Meet with your faculty advisor regularly.
- Utilize SFSU’s counseling services.
- Make sure to set aside quality time with family.
- Treat yourself to a movie!
- Join the NSA!
